Hunter Gause is an American filmmaker based in Brooklyn, NY. His work explores outsiderhood, especially themes of youth, labor, and purpose.  And his filmmaking is noted for its sophisticated comedic realism and immersive editing. ALL THE WORDS ON THE PAGE, Hunter’s debut short film, premiered in competition at the 30th Palm Springs International ShortFest and continued to screen at NewFilmmakers LA, Pendance Film Festival, and The Downtown Festival NYC, among other festivals.   A self-taught filmmaker, Hunter gained experience by working closely with the independent production companies of Gummy Films and Simone Films. Before filmmaking, Hunter began his career in the theatre, assisting directors at New York Theatre Workshop, The Wooster Group, and Big Dance Theater. Hunter is a graduate of Marymount Manhattan College, where he has also been a guest speaker and teacher. Currently, Hunter is in post-production of his sophomore short film, PENTIMENTO.
