ABOUT
Hunter Gause is a Colorado-born filmmaker living in New York City. His passion is for telling stories about labor, invisible disabilities, and outsiders. His debut short narrative film, All the Words on the Page, will premiere next month. Hunter is filming his subsequent short documentary, Beyond Selling, chronicling a couture personal stylist.
He holds a B.A. in Theatre Arts with concentrations in acting and directing from Marymount Manhattan College and a certificate in Film from NYU Yellowbrick. Hunter is a member of The Film-Makers’ Cooperative.
Before filmmaking, Hunter worked in theater. His productions were presented by Times Square Arts, Art Frieze New York, and The Tank. He’s also crewed sets for Simone Films and Gummy Films and worked with Union Docs, Big Dance Theater, and The Wooster Group. Hunter has been a guest instructor at Marymount Manhattan College and is the founding executive producer of Occipital Filmworks.
