ABOUT

Mixing the Greek myth of Chiron and the textures of off-off-Broadway theater, All the Words on the Page is an anxious tale about navigating an invisible disability.

DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT

The genesis of this film began with a play I wrote about my dyslexia diagnosis and was inspired by a viewing of Claude Chabrol’s film La Cérémonie. I am dyslexic, and I wanted to document the confusion and anxiety of my learning disability. Since no two cases of dyslexia are identical, the script is also informed by research that I conducted with the help of Yale Online and Mary B. Stowe of William and Mary College. Dyslexia is not visible and is not a topic often depicted in cinema. I worked hard to explain dyslexia and hope to educate the audience.
