Hunter Gause is a Brooklyn-based filmmaker. Originally from Colorado, his work often explores themes of misfits, purpose, labor, and art.
All the Words on the Page (2024), his first narrative short film, premiered in competition for Best U.S. Short at the 30th Palm Springs International ShortFest before screening at NewFilmmakers Los Angeles, Pendance Film Festival, Fargo Film Festival, The Downtown Festival, among other festivals.
Previously, he’s assisted the production teams of Gummy Films and Simone Films on feature films and commercials.
Before filmmaking, Hunter worked as an assistant theater director for New York Theatre Workshop, The Wooster Group, and Big Dance Theater.
Hunter is currently in pre-production for his sophomore short film.
