Hunter Gause

Hunter Gause is a Brooklyn-based filmmaker. Originally from Colorado, Hunter began his career by assisting theater directors off-Broadway. Hunter then transitioned to film, crewing on independent film, commercial, and television sets, and directing short films. His debut narrative short film, All the Words on the Page (2024), premiered in competition for Best U.S. Short at the 30th Palm Springs International ShortFest before screening at NewFilmmakers Los Angeles, Davey Fest, Pendance Film Festival, Fargo Film Festival, The Downtown Festival, and The Roxy Cinema New York. Hunter holds a B.A. in Theatre Arts from Marymount Manhattan College and a Certificate in Film from NYU Yellowbrick. His work often explores themes of misfits, purpose, labor, disabilities, and art. Hunter is working on his sophomore short film and developing his debut feature film.
